Humber Personnel Labour Agency (HPLA) was established in 2013 and has since been a long-standing supplier of temporary workers to the Ports Industry.
HPLA have a workforce of experienced stevedores who in some cases have over 20 years’ experience in loading and discharging vessels of various sizes and have experience working with a wide range of cargos from Timber to Steel and Dry Cargo’s such as animal feed and wheat gluten. Our workforce is skilled in the operation of various machinery that is utilised in the port industry including forklifts, loading shovels and cranes to name a few.
HPLA also offer experienced lashing operatives that work primarily on Ro-Ro Vessels (Roll on and Roll Off Vessels). We can discharge and load these vessels which we do on a weekly basis for one of our main customers. The operatives are experienced in loading trailers, plant and machinery and cars on these vessels.
Additional to the above, Humber Personnel Labour Agency (HPLA) offer a comprehensive Berthing and Mooring team who are available 24hours a day 7 days a week. Our dedicated team can cover smaller vessels, as well as the larger vessels.
HPLA have recently obtained a labour contract for the supply of warehousing staff to one of the biggest kitchen manufacturers in Europe. Within this contract we supply a workforce of both skilled; Forklift and Combi Drivers and unskilled labour; Walkers, Picking Staff to various sites around the UK.
At HPLA we have a close connection to Portull Training Services which we use for all our training requirements on a range of Plant and Machinery and Stevedore training. This relationship allows us to access a substantial number of potential employees from local unemployment schemes and local colleges.
