Training was first class, facilities and equipment used were great.
Our Son Rob has some learning difficulties and was apprehensive about attending the forklift training.
Following a conversation Roy liaised with the Tutors so that they were aware of Rob's barriers to learning and smoothed the way.
Due to covid restrctions the first 2 weeks were completed online WhatsApp and at home. His Tutor for this was Kevin who was consistently supportive and encouraging and gave Rob reassurances about his work.
His Tutor for the weeks practical training was Dave who offered encouragement and belief which helped build Rob's confidence in his own abilities. It sounds like Dave is very skilled at what he does and is also able to offer empathy and understanding a quality not all can offer.
Rob spoke highly of Kev and Dave and was buzzing after the practical lessons! Roy rang him to congratulate him which was also a kind gesture. We just wanted to thank everyone involved in helping him through his training. It is much appreciated.

After being unemployed for the past 3 months, i was put on a Forklift Course at Portull for 3 weeks through the Job Centre. The course i completed and the whole learning experiance provided by Portull. I loved it, i admit whatever i was expecting on my first day here was definately exceeded. The staff are completely supportive and accomidating and i was particularly grateful for this, Our Tutor was first class and i now our full group would agree with me when i say he was an excellant role model for the security industry and we learned so much from him.
An apprentice in the Driving Goods Vehicles will be one of 25 apprentices to attend an Awards ceremony at the House of Lords on 18th July. The Awards Ceremony will be staged by West Nottinghamshire College Group, with whom Portull Training Services works through as its subsidiary Vision Apprentices on the delivery of the Level 2 Driving Gooods Vehicles Apprentiships. The 25 apprentices have been chosen in recognition of their talent, dedication and contribution to their workplace.
We were delighted that our apprentice and Staff memeber will be recognised as one of only 25 apprentices to attend such a prestigious and important event at the House of Lords.
